The analyses of the horoscope of Russia in recent weeks showed that not only are there a lot of tensions at the moment, but also that this has not yet ended. Looking ahead with the Aries ingress of 2026, the progressions in the natal chart of Russia and the eclipse of March ’26, the conclusion was drawn that May ’26 could well prove to be a crucial month. The relevant charts then indicate new action on the part of Russia, an expansion of military activities and that is more than an intensification of what is already happening.
Modern Mundane
In modern mundane astrology, the cycles and sign changes of the three outer planets play the leading role and that seems to be true, at least partially, if you look at what is going on in the world now. All three change signs and Saturn is moreover in conjunction with Neptune. You could have predicted in this way that this time would be very tense, although the usual associations of the Neptune-Saturn cycle with communism and the English royal family do not seem to be so clearly confirmed.
60s
You have to be a bit careful though with texts about these cycles because they are even more than usual marked by a 60s ideology, which doesn’t make it much more objective. That does not alter the fact that there is certainly something in it, and that you can also interpret them as a traditional astrologer as a piece of extra information. If you also look at the antiscia, it becomes even clearer what seems to be in line with what is going on. These tensions will also continue for a while, although the concentration of these sign changes will be over next year.
Lunar return
If we look at the Russian cahart, at the lunar return of May ’26, we do see that the idea that emerged from the previous anlayses is confirmed. In the lunar return the Sun/Lord 1 is high in the sky close to the MC, indicating action. What is also immediately noticeable is the conjunction of Mars, Saturn and Mercury in the ninth house of “further away”. Mars is of course the planet of battle, Saturn is Lord 7 of the opponents and that concentration of three planets is in opposition to Mars in the Russian radix. Venus, the planet of peace, is in the Algol crisis zone and on the MC is Al Pherg, one of the stars of fate that indicates that what you have been expecting for a long time is now going to happen.
