At the moment, the positions in the sky are very remarkable, four planets are close together on either side of the vernal equinox, the nodal axis and Neptune are in between, and the Sun is moving near the nodal axis. A very strong concentration of energy and because the Sun is near the Nodal Axis it is eclipse time again, that concentration of energy can be discharged, as long as the chart of the eclipse is valid. On the 14th of this month there was a Lunar Eclipse with this lot of concentrated tension. This Lunar Eclipse was followed by a Solar Eclipse on the 29th, so that eclipse of March 14 only had a short validity of only two weeks.
Malefics
With the help of astrocartography programs, you can also easily see where an eclipse will have a strong effect. Of course, there are usually several places wher this is the case , but often a few places do stand out. One of the things you mainly look at, is where malefics are placed on angles, especially when they are in fall or detriment, because then they tend to show their most vicious side. It is important to realize that even the benefics Venus and Jupiter will become malefics if they are are in fall or detriment, after all, not every growth is good and not every sweetness is healthy.
Wasat
This is very noticeable in the chart of the eclipse made for Burma, where two weeks after the lunar eclipse a disatrous earthquake took place, just before the next eclipse. In that horoscope, malefic Mars in fall is on the Ascendant! That’s not the only thing, that dominating Mars is conjunct Jupiter via antiscia which is in detriment and thus becomes a malefic. That conjunction of two malefics stands out on the Ascendant that is placed on the star Wasat an evil star associated with death and destruction, Wasat has a pure Saturn nature, which is rare for stars.

Extinguished light
With Cancer on the ascendant, the Moon is Lord 1 – the country– in a Lunar Eclipse the Luminary that goes out, and Moon -Lord 1-Burma is not only the dark part of the eclipse but also in opposition to Saturn, via antiscion conjunct Venus in detiment – which thus becomes malefic! – and with Mercury the traditional signficator of earthquakes. As mentioned, an extremely rare concentration of energies and its consequences can be seen on the news. It will be clear that traditional techniques can be used to predict disasters and thus be better prepared. This will be particukarly effective when this is done by a local astrologer who use also other mundane charts than those of eclipses.
