Recently, Rafael Nadal ended his career, he is one of the most successful tennis players ever, with no less than 22 Grand Slam titles. He won 12 times on the caly court of Roland Garros and that is why he was also called the gravel king, especially on the slower clay he could play optimally. His extraordinary success makes you of course curious about his chart, you can expect that striking positions will immediately catch the eye. It is important however to always remain open to what the horoscope has to indicate, as the cosmos can show success in many different ways.

Slow

The first thing that stands out in Nadal’s radix is that no less than four planets have a lot of essential dignity, making success more probable. Jupiter and Mercury are in their own sign and the Moon and Mars are in exaltation. Mars is of course also the sports planet and it is obviously not bad for a tennis player to have the sports planet in exaltation. It is remarkable that Mars has a low speed, yes especially on the slower caly courts he was in his element, Mars is also Lord 1 which emphasizing Mars even more.

Uncle Toni

By antiscion, that exalted Mars is conjunct Saturn, again not a planet of speed. That Saturn also shows something else, his remarkakle disiciplined behaviour. Saturn is in the first house and thus indicates his manners, never in his long career did he break a racket, also out of repsect for those who could never afford such a nexpensive thing. This discipline was taught to him by his uncle Toni who trained him and Mars who is conjunct Saturn by antiscion is Lord 6 of uncles.  Here you can see how various layers of meanings of the planets merge.

Fifth house

On that central Mars, another striking and extremely relevant planet also makes an aspect and that is Jupiter. The Great Benefic changes the picture from remarkable to extraordinary because he is not only in his own sign but he is also Lord 5 of games and he is very emphatically really right on cusp 5!  Jupiter is again connected to Venus through a strong mutual reception, which is Lord 7 of the battle with others and Venus is again conjunct the Parts of Mars and on fierce Sirius. So here you constantly see the interconnections giving clear picture of his extraordinary talent in which the exalted Mars pays a very central role .
