Last week the chart of the Andrea Doria was discussed, the ocean liner that sank after a collision with the Stockholm on July 26, 1956 100 kilometers south of the American island of Nantucket (east of New York), killing 46 passengers. The Stockholm, which has been detained in the port of Rotterdam for five years and will now be auctioned, was known as the Ship of Death. Because the infamous collision with the Andrea Doria was not the only incident in which the Stockholm was involved and that was clearly visible in the ship’s chart. To calculate a natal chart of a ship, you can take the moment the sunrise on the day of the ship’s christening (or its the keel-laying if it can be found).
Profection
That works fine and this becomes very clear if you apply the forecasting techniques to the radix of a ship that you also use in a personal radix. In the profections – a house stands for one year – it is the turn of the sixth house in the year of the ship’s sinking. The sixth house is a house of adversity, Lord 6 is the violent Mars standing in the evil twelfth house on the violent Orion star Bellatrix. On Cusp 6 is the royal South Scale or the Scorpion’s Claw, so both Orion and the Scorpion that stabs Orion to death are activated by profection in the disaster year.
Alphard
The solar return of the disaster year is stunningly clear, on the Ascendant is Jupiter, in the return Lord 8 of death conjunct Pluto the Lord of the Dead on the Heart of the Hydra Alphard. One of the keywords of the very evil Alphard is “sudden death by drowning”, which is of course extra alarming in a chart of a ship. The Lord 8/Puto conjunction makes a square with Saturn, in the radixLord 8 and Mercury – Lord 1 so the ship in the radix – is in the infamous crisis zone at the end of Taurus/beginning of Gemini.
Transparant
So you see how you look through time with astrology, how “above” determines when something happens “below”. However, this also applies to space! From above it is also determined where something happens and so not only time becomes transparent but also space, the other limiting condition of human existence after the Fall. The radix of the Andrea Doria calculated for the location of ist sinking has the royal death star Antares on the MC and Mercury/Lord 1 on the IC the bottom, the deepest point of the horoscope. If we do the same thing with the solar return of the disaster, then the above discussed Pluto/Lord 8 conjunction comes to the IC! So we see a four times death, Pluto, Lord 8, IC and Alphard!!
