It is a troubled time with a lot of tension in the world, food shortages, hyperinflation, lack of raw materials, epidemics, the war in Ukraine, wereldwide drougths, extreme heat and an increasing threat of war in the Far East. China is making it very clear that after Hong Kong it will also add Taiwan back to its territory and that no one should intervene. This strong turbulence has to do with the transition of the Great Conjunctions of Saturn and Jupiter (GCs) into the Air signs in 2020.
In order to get a better understanding of the meaning of that transition and how long it will last, it is a good idea to look back at the last element transition of the GCs before this and what was going on then. That started in 1802 when the GCs passed from the Fire Signs to Earth for the first time, the next GC in 1821 went back to Fire, to finally transfer to Earth in 1842. We have also just had such a transition in steps, with in 1980 the GCs for the first time to Air, in 2000 again back to Earth and in 2020 definitively over to Air. What can the comparison with the 19th Century tell us about our time?
Orgy of violence
The transitional period from 1802 to 1842 was also extremely turbulent, the ultimate disaster of the French Revolution and the merciless cruel terror, the chaos and the wars that resulted from it had already taken place in 1789 as a prelude to the transition time. A Napoleon was needed to put an end to the massacre and the extremely destructive orgy of violence of the Revolution, but also Napoleon raced as a tornado through Europe in the first 15 years of the 19th century. In 1842, the transfer to Earth became final and Earth established itself. The modern industrial nation-state arose, liberal democracy emerged, culminating in the year of revolution 1848.
It will be clear that in our times Corona marks the moment of the transition from Earth to Air in 2020 as a watershed. But the comparison with the 19th Century shows that it takes a while before a new balance is found. After the final transition to Earth in 1842, the liberal-democratic revolutions of 1848 followed. The recent transition of the GCs to Air in 2020 is a parallel with the transition of the GCs in 1842 and so we may conclude that it will remain very restless for some time to come, the new Air time will haver to settle and this will not be done overnight and not without a struggle. It is to be expected that the world will remain instable until just before the opposition of Saturn and Jupiter in 2030.
Liberal democracy
More tangibly, this will mean that what arose in the Earth Age will have to go: the fossile-driven industrial production state, liberal democracy and the dominance of the West. In 2029, just before a series of oppositions of Saturn and Jupiter, we can expect a final dramatic and violent climax in the transition phase. So we see around us now the establishment of the Air-time and all the frictions that that goes with it. China will replace the West as the dominant worldpower, so it will not be long before we will hear about military action in the Far East. In Taiwan, they know all about it.
