Last week, the progressions in Russia’s mundane radix (see last week’s post for the chart data) were delineated and they clearly showed the recent drone attack on Poland. Also, the progressions made it clear that a lot of tension can expected in May 2026, which could indicate a military action on the part of Russia. In a mundane analysis, it is always a good idea in addition to the progressions to look at the ingress too, the horoscope of the exact moment that the Sun enters Aries again, calculated for the capital of the country you are investigating.
Wild Stars
The stars at key points in the ingress chart look rather wild. On the MC is the very violent and powerful Rigel, one of the main stars of the Hunter Orion, and in the important tenth house Jupiter can be seen on Sirius, the main star of blunt, very intimidating Canis Major, the Big Dog. That is already a lot of aggression, reinforced by Denebola on the Ascendant, the Tail of the Leo that is so strongly related to fighting for power. The central theme of Leo is an uncontrollable urge to dominate. In Leo and in Orion there is also a danger that you overestimate yourself and fall down.
With the two signs of Mercury on the Ascendant and the MC, Mercury as Lord 1 and Lord 10 is of great importance. Mercury is extremely weak in detriment and fall, retrograde in the sixth house. Mercury is also on the strengthening expansive North Node, but that’s all. Via antiscion, the North Node/Lord 1 conjunction falls in opposition to the Moon in the eighth house of death, which indicates tensions. This opposition via antiscion therefore falls on the Nodal Axis and an activated Nodal Axis always shows important developments.
Venus in detriment
Venus, the planet of peace, is also in the eighth house of death and is in detriment, in Aries Venus is controlled by its opposite Mars, the planet of fighting. An antiscion also plays a role here because the mirrored position of this Venus in detriment makes an opposition to Mars, and that could be an image of war of course. The war planet Mars is Lord 8 of death and is conjunct Achernar, the star connected to the hijacking of the Solar Chariot that eventually crashes with fire falling from the sky. All in all, this ingress could certainly fit in with the image of an invasion, with the theme of overestimation recurring remarkably often.
