Recently, on February 20th, the conjunction between Saturn and Neptune became full and in modern mundane astrology that is a very important moment. In the cycles in modern mundane astrology, the three outer planets play the leading role, with Saturn and Jupiter also taken accout of. The classical astrological approach is somewhat different, but it is clear that the movements of the outer planets are significant and that they are therefore also important in a classical astrological interpretation, just like in the clasical interpretation of the radix. There is no reason to exclude them because they clearly have an effect in practice, for example, the beginning of the Corona crisis was marked by the conjunction of Pluto and Saturn (in which, by the way, the entry of the Great Conjunctions of Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius played the main role in the background).
Patriarchal
The interpretation of what such a conjunction means exactly is classically different from what you often hear in modern astrology. Sometimes this conjunction is presented as the moment when the patriarchal obsolete structures (Saturn) start to dissolve (Neptune), or that new spiritual initiatives (Neptune) take shape (Saturn). These are of course the well-known amateurish and ideological interpretations that we often see in the New Age world in which people announce about every month that it (the new era) is really going to begin now. But there are also more professional interpretations connecting the cycle of Saturn and Neptune with communism and most notably with the English royal family. The recent arrest of ex-Prince Andrew does indeed seems to fit into that interpretation.
Chaos
Classically you would take a different approach, the conjunction remains a big climax, a moment of crisis, but Neptune is interpreted as great chaos. Neptune is Poseidon who makes the earth tremble with his trident and tries to flood the land to wash away all structure. The salt water of which Poseidon is the grily, dangerous lord is the symbol of the indomitable, raw desire that leads to chaos. A conjunction of Neptune with the malefic Saturn showing its most vicious side in its fall can only strengthen that. Also the place of the conjunction in the first degree of Aries where Saturn has just entered its fall makes the threat even stronger. The effect can now be seen soon after the conjunction, the attack on Iran unleashes Poseidon on the world and increases the great tensions even further.
