Last month, the gruesome Pelicot case played out in France, against the man who drugged his wife for years and had her raped by dozens of other men. Not only the man, Dominique Pelicot, was convicted but also the other rapists and this horrible case started a discussion about the way French men see women. The crime in question here is so monstrous and almost unimaginable that you wonder what you could see in a chart of this?
Ethics?
The first point here is philosophical in nature, no human being is ever forced to commit a heinous crime because man has been given a free will, which he can use. This means that he can always decide not to do something he is inclined to. So you can’t just see in a chart whether someone is a criminal or not. What you can see are certain possibly malicious or violent tendencies, the radix of Adolf Hitler for example does not look very pleasant.

Aquarius?
Yet that does not mean that you can flawlessly see who is a criminal and who is not, because of that free will. How does that look for Dominique Pelicot, could an astrologer have warned his wife? Of course, modern astrologers immediately go wild on this radix and clearly see the extreme sexual perversion of this man everywhere, the most surprising was the interpretation that Aquarius is to blame as it would be a perverse sign because of its ruler Uranus!
Hunger
Seriously interpreted, we do see a number of things that are somewhat worrying. The first is the position of the Pars Fortunae, the planetary point of the Moon which indicates an insatiable hunger. The PF is right on cusp 5 of sexuality and conjunct Mars the general signficator of sexuality, as a malefic without dignity Mars tends to show its less pleasant sides. Venus Lord 1, Dominique Pelicot himself, is under disposition of Saturn, so controlled by Lord 5 of sexuality, which itself is conjunct Neptune, flooding you with desire difficult to control, symbolized by the seawater.
Planet Parts
So sexuality has a lot of influence, but that doesn’t make someone a serial rapist. If you look at the planetary parts, the picture becomes a bit more dubious. The planet partsof Mars is right on the Ascendant, which means that the pure energy of the fiery fighting planet connects directly with the person of Dominique Pelicot. Also, the Pars of the Sun falls via antiscion on the already mentioned conjunction of Mars and the Pars Fortuae on cusp 5 and thus emphasizes the sexuality theme very strongly.
Algol
The Solar Part is also on Algol, a star that makes you loose your head – conscious control – . The Part of the malefic Saturn – “part of imprisonment”’ – is also conjunct Venus, the general signficator of women. As pure planetary energies the planet parts always indicate exceptional themes and that is clearly emphasized here in connection with sexuality. But as I said, you can’t see that this would take on such horrible forms, that really remains a matter of ethics!
